At FLW, we have chosen to look at two QPR players who will be desperate for a move away from Loftus Road

Queens Park Rangers had a busy summer window as they brought in a host of new additions and shipped out some of the dead wood they no longer needed.

Marti Cifuentes would likely have been pleased with his first summer dealings, with standout additions including the loan signing of Karamoko Dembélé and the permanent acquisition of Nicolas Madsen.

Meanwhile, the likes of Lyndon Dykes and Sinclair Armstrong secured exits from Loftus Road, bringing the club some much-needed funds.

However, several players did not obtain transfers away from the club and may face months on the sidelines before the January transfer window opens.

With that in mind, at Football League World we have detailed two QPR players who will be desperate for a move away from Loftus Road when the January window arrives.

Elijah Dixon-Bonner

Elijah Dixon-Bonner had a brilliant football upbringing, having come through two of Britain's best academies, at Arsenal and then Liverpool.

Unfortunately, since departing the Merseyside club for QPR, all hasn't gone to plan, with the 23-year-old struggling for regular game time at Loftus Road.

A natural box-to-box midfielder, he has made just 29 appearances for the Hoops to date (as of September 11) since signing in October 2022.

Last season, under Cifuentes, he was provided with more of an opportunity, but the new signings of Nicolas Madsen and Jonathan Varane have surely seen him slide down the pecking order even further.

For that reason, a January loan move away from QPR should be on the cards for Dixon-Bonner.

Having signed a new contract earlier this year, the club clearly sees something in him, so a temporary move away would be the best move for both parties.

Regular playing time is crucial for the 23-year-old at the moment, so staying at QPR for the second half of the season could stifle his development. Moving on in January would be the best option, and if he performs well, he could be given more opportunities at Loftus Road in the 2025-26 season.

Lorent Talla

Another young prospect at QPR, Lorent Talla, is an archetypal replacement for the Hoops' star player, Ilias Chair.

To date, the youngster has only managed one appearance for the R's, playing in an FA Cup fixture against AFC Bournemouth last season.

Aged 19, it seems unlikely that he will be afforded many opportunities, with the attacking midfielder having plenty of competition in front of him.

However, the club highly rate him, with QPR CEO Christian Nourry saying this about him: "Lorent has worked extremely hard to make this step and has serious potential as a #10.

"Upon my arrival, he was rapidly identified as a player with the necessary attributes to push on. But the hardest work is still ahead of him."

Clearly, the club value him highly and a January loan spell could be beneficial to his development.

Given his injury problems prior to 2023-24, ensuring he has regular minutes at a strong level is important. For this reason, they must ensure he joins a club that has a good set-up and is in desperate need of a player to fill that number 10 role.

The level at which this will be set will likely depend on QPR, but based on Nourry's comments, interest could come from either the National League or League Two.
