2026 Concacaf Champions Cup Semifinals Set to Kick off Tuesday | OneFootball

Miami, FL – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, the 61st edition of the region’s premier men’s club competition, is set to continue with the Semifinals kicking off Tuesday, April 28. 

Participating Clubs: Liga MX vs. MLS Matchups

The Semifinals will feature the four clubs that advanced from the Quarterfinals: Nashville SC (USA), Tigres UANL (MEX), Los Angeles FC (USA), and Deportivo Toluca FC (MEX).  

For the second consecutive round, all matchups will feature a Liga MX club taking on a club from MLS.  

In Concacaf Champions Cup history, 18 Semifinals series have featured Liga MX vs. MLS matchups. Liga MX sides emerged victorious on 14 occasions, while MLS teams have advanced four times.

The remaining clubs also represent the four highest-ranked clubs in the latest Concacaf Club Rankings. 

Competition Format

The Semifinals will be played as two home-and-away series, with the aggregate score across both legs determining which clubs advance to the Final. The two winners will move on to the Final. 

The competition will conclude with the Final on May 30, 2026, which will be played as a single-leg match to crown the region’s champion. 

Pathway to Global Competition

While the remaining teams will be vying for the title of regional club champion, they will also be competing for a chance to play on a global stage. The winner of the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup will secure qualification for the next edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in 2029, as well as the 2026 FIFA Intercontinental Cup. 

The FIFA Club World Cup berth represents one of four slots allocated to Concacaf, with 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup winners Cruz Azul already occupying one of those positions.

The highest-ranked club in each semifinal matchup – based on the competition's cumulative table, excluding Round One – will host the second-leg match of its series.
