FC Barcelona have already been crowned the champions of Spain following their last win, which came in the derby against RCD Espanyol. That win meant the Blaugranes enjoyed a 7-point advantage over the second-placed Real Madrid, with only 6 points left to play for.
However, the Catalans still have two games left to play in La Liga, for the matchdays 37 and 38. The first of these two games is scheduled for tonight, as Barcelona take on Villarreal at the Montjuic.
With the league race already decided in their favor, the Blaugrana would not have a lot to play for in these two matches. However, there are still some team and individual challenges that will compel the Catalans to take these matches seriously.
As a result, Hansi Flick has announced quite a strong squad for this game and has called up all of his important players who were available.
However, as Mundo Deportivo has noted, there have still been some absences, and the most notable absence is that of Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan might have gotten to play some minutes in this game, but was unable to make the list for this match because of a knee discomfort.

Jules Kounde and Marc Bernal are also absent from this squad list, as they both continue to recover from their own physical problems. Similarly, Ferran Torres has also not been called up as he underwent an appendicitis surgery recently, and is still not in a condition to play.
On the other hand, the most notable addition to this squad has been that of Sergi Dominguez, who returns to the first team squad to replace Ronald Araujo, despite having played 15 minutes in the Barca Atletic’s game against Barakaldo yesterday. The last time he was called up by Hansi Flick was for the match against Atletico Madrid back on December 21st.
