Real Madrid youngster Gonzalo García is attracting serious interest from the Premier League ahead of the winter transfer window.

This comes amid claims of a trio of English clubs preparing offers in the region of €20 million for the youngster.

Gonzalo has for his part endured an underwhelming campaign to date.

After being afforded a first-team berth by new Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso owing to his excellence at the Club World Cup, the 21-year-old has since badly struggled for game-time.

Sitting behind Kylian Mbappé in the centre-forward pecking order in Spain’s capital, Gonzalo has been afforded just a solitary start in all competitions.

With as much in mind, a number of clubs have in turn set sights on the young goalscorer’s signature.

And according to Fichajes, three such suitors come from England.

‘According to sources consulted, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton have been the first to contact the white club, showing a clear willingness to negotiate.’

All three, it is added, would be willing to fork over around €20 million to bring Gonzalo in in January.
