4 Barcelona youngsters back in first-team training ahead of Athletic Club | OneFootball

A quartet of up-and-coming young talents were on Tuesday called up to first-team training by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick.

This comes amid ongoing preparations for the Blaugrana’s upcoming meeting with Athletic Club.

After several days of rest, Barcelona’s players not called up for international duty for November this morning linked back up at the Ciutat Esportiva.

With the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres still away with their respective national teams, though, Hansi Flick had a threadbare group to choose from.

This culminated in several youngsters being afforded the chance to impress, by filling in for the session.

The most unsurprising inclusion was Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández, who is considered increasingly close to being named a full-time senior player in Catalunya’s capital.

Also selected once more were left-back Jofre Torrents, and midfield talent Tommy Marqués.

The most head-turning call-up, though, was that of full-back Guillem Víctor, brother of ex-Barca frontman Pau.
