A complete success: Blood donation at the Red Bull Arena | OneFootball

Over 150 volunteers for a good cause!

 Taking a look behind the scenes at our stadium, exploring our team's dressing room, and doing something for a good cause – with this in mind, 159 motivated fans came to our Red Bull Arena on Friday afternoon to participate in the blood donation drive we organised together with the Red Cross. There was also great interest at the information booth about stem cell donation. In a positive atmosphere, with great curiosity and remarkable demand, participants each donated 450 milliliters of blood and received, among other things, a free ticket to a home game in the upcoming season as a thank you for their good deed.

What happens after donating?

Each donor receives their personal blood test results and a blood donor card with their blood type and Rh factor in the post approximately three to six weeks later.

Why is donating blood so important?

A unit of blood can only be stored for a maximum of 42 days, so the demand is constantly high. Whether in cases of accidents, surgeries, serious illnesses, or childbirth: human blood is one of the most important medications in emergencies and cannot be substituted. The Red Cross answers general questions about blood donation HERE.
