Florian Plettenberg reports that Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola (22) is Bayern Munich’s ‘top target’ in their search for a new high-profile left-winger. Although at this stage a transfer would be difficult, the Bundesliga champions are exploring a potential deal for the France international.
This comes after Bayern Munich showed interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo and Milan’s Rafael Leão with club representatives holding talks with the entourages of both players. Another player that has emerged as a candidate for Bayern is Athletic Club’s Nico Williams.
Plettenberg further adds that Bayern have intensified talks with Williams in recent days with meetings taking place. The Spaniard has a reported €60m release clause which would be achievable for the Rekordmeister, but the 22-year-old has high wage demands. Williams – who could imagine a move to Bayern – earns around €8m at Athletic Club.
Bayern’s search for a left-sided player continues with Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz bound for Liverpool with the futures of Leroy Sané and Kinglsey Coman remain uncertain.
