Abdukodir Khusanov misses Lens training as Manchester City agreement draws near

According to a report from Fabrice Hawkins from RMC Sport, Abdukodir Khusanov (20) has missed training with RC Lens today as an agreement for his departure to Manchester City draws closer.

The Uzbekistan international looks set to be leaving imminently for the Premier League title holders with it thought that a full agreement between the two clubs will be agreed upon later today. Foot Mercato reported this morning that Les Sang et Or could be receiving a club record fee of €50 million with bonuses included for the centre-back.

Khusanov has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Manchester City as the English side look to put a disappointing end to 2024 rapidly behind them in the new year. The club won only two games in a run of 14 matches to end the year.

Abdukodir Khusanov arrives as part of revamped squad

The defender will arrive as part of an effort to revamp the squad for the latter part of the season with Manchester City which could also see Omar Marmoush arrive soon from Frankfurt.
