AC Milan-Inter ‘to become’ Serie A’s most lucrative match on Sunday | OneFootball

Sunday’s AC Milan vs Inter at 20:45, matchday 28, is expected to become Serie A’s highest-grossing fixture, with takings projected above €8.7m. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the derby should set a new all-time record.

The final figure will be confirmed in the coming hours, but the previous best of €8,649,494, set in the reverse derby on 23 November 2025 that Milan won 1-0, is already set to be surpassed. A €9m total looks unlikely.

Tickets have been scarce for days, with more than 75,500 fans expected at San Siro.

Before this weekend, Milan’s home record was €7,344,878, set on 2 February 2025 in a derby against Inter.

Other recent highs include Inter vs Juventus on 14 February 2026 with €8,587,129, Inter vs Milan on 22 September 2024 at €7,626,430, and Inter vs Juventus on 27 October 2024 at €7,614,585.
