AC Milan v Côme Serie A match in Perth called off over last-minute complications | OneFootball

The Serie A match between AC Milan and Côme planned for Perth, Australia, will not be played because of last-minute complications, the league said in a statement on Monday.

The fixture had been scheduled for eight February 2026 in Perth. This comes despite recent reassurances from the league’s president in recent days.

Serie A said the decision followed an agreement with the Government of Western Australia.

The league cited financial risks that could not be contained and onerous approval conditions, alongside complications beyond its control.

The project to stage what would have been the first official European league match outside national borders has been cancelled. It follows La Liga dropping its plan to play Barcelona v Villarreal in Miami.
