Achraf Hakimi has been handed a one-match ban, with a further game suspended, after his red card at Strasbourg. According to L'Équipe, the LFP disciplinary commission's ruling means he will miss the Classique against OM on Sunday at 20:45.

Hakimi will be available again for PSG's next match, away to Rennes on 13 February. It was his first dismissal since May 2023.

The Morocco international was sent off in the 75th minute of the 2-1 win at La Meinau. Six minutes later, Nuno Mendes struck the winner with PSG down to 10 men.

The Ligue de football professionnel also punished Olympique de Marseille for incidents during the 24 January match against RC Lens. The evening was marred by flares in the stands, chants deemed inappropriate and a delayed kick-off. As a result, the Tribune Sud at the Orange Vélodrome will be partially closed for one match, with three more suspended.

Elsewhere, the commission issued further bans across Ligue 1. Jean-Philippe Gbamin of Metz received a two-match suspension, while Kamory Doumbia of Stade Brestois 29, Daniel Namaso of AJ Auxerre, and Lille's Aïssa Mandi and Nathan Ngoy were given one match each for an accumulation of bookings.
