Achraf Hakimi’s Agent Sends Blunt Message to Real Madrid | OneFootball

Achraf Hakimi is arguably the best right back in the world and is coming off an amazing 2024-25 season, helping PSG win the UEFA Champions League, the first in club history, as part of their treble.

Wednesday night in Rabat brought little uncertainty to the CAF Awards 2025. Hakimi entered as the clear frontrunner for African Player of the Year and secured the honor after an outstanding campaign.

He earned the award on the strength of a season that delivered five trophies, including PSG’s first Champions League title, while adding 11 goals and 16 assists.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Osimhen of Galatasaray were also in contention, but the Paris right back’s resume made the outcome feel inevitable.

Could Achraf Hakimi Return to Real Madrid?

Amid Hakimi’s strong run of form, the PSG standout’s agent has left the door open for the African Ballon d’Or winner to join Real Madrid, his boyhood club, in the future, and possibly reuniting him with his former teammate, Kylian Mbappe.

“Achraf is fully focused on his recovery after his injury and on getting back on the field,” Hakimi’s agent (h/t Foot Mercato). “He is happy in Paris, where he has a contract through 2029, but in football nothing is impossible, and Real Madrid is his home, where he began in the youth teams.”

It will be interesting to see whether Hakimi decides to play the rest of his career with PSG or venture elsewhere before his prime years are over.
