ACL2020: Junior Negao spazza via il Beijing Guoan, sarà Ulsan Hyundai-Vissel Kobe in semifinale | OneFootball

Nella giornata di ieri si sono disputati i due match dei quarti di finale della AFC Champions League, East Zone, con Ulsan Hyundai e Vissel Kobe che accedono al turno successivo grazie alle reti di Junior Negao e Furuhashi.

L’Ulsan Hyundai approda in finale grazie ad una vittoria di prestigio contro il Beijing Guoan per 2-0 maturata nel primo tempo. L’uomo copertina è Junior Negao con il brasiliano che segna una doppietta: prima trasforma un rigore concesso a seguito di un fallo di mano di Kim Min-jae e poi trova il raddoppio con un bolide dalla distanza. Junior Negao continua a confermarsi come uno degli attaccanti più forti d’Asia dopo aver già vinto quest’anno il titolo di capocannoniere in K-League.

Nella ripresa il Beijing Guoan si getta in avanti alla disperata ricerca del pareggio ma gli sforzi dei pechinesi guidati da Renato Augusto, che ha cercato di caricarsi là squadra sulle spalle, sì infrangono contro la difesa dell’Ulsan e le parate miracolose di Suk-jo. Il portiere coreano è stato l’MVP della ripresa compiendo ben 8 parate di cui 5 da tentativi dentro l’area di rigore.

Con questa vittoria e l’eliminazione del Beijing Guoan è ora l’Ulsan Hyundai la squadra favorita alla vittoria di questa Champions League che può ambire al secondo titolo continentale dopo quello conquistato nel 2012.

L’avversario dell’Ulsan Hyundai in semifinale sarà il Vissel Kobe, con il club giapponese che alla sua prima assoluta partecipazione in Champions League raggiunge questo storico traguardo dopo aver battuto il Suwon Bluewings ai coreani pur dovendo rinunciare al suo Top Player, Andrès Iniesta (in panchina per infortunio).

La partita si era messa benissimo per il Suwon Bluewings, con i coreani che hanno sbloccato le marcature con il classe 1998 Hyuk Park dopo soli sette minuti. Eppure la situazione cambia verso la fine del primo tempo, con il fallo da ultimo uomo di Tae-Hwan, che genera il calcio di punizione dal quale Furuhashi trova la rete del pareggio. Oltre ad Iniesta, l’esterno offensivo classe 1995 è stato l’uomo decisivo che ha portato il Vissel kobe ai vertici del calcio asiatico.

La partita si prolunga fino ai supplementari, dove l’ex Barcellona fa il suo ingresso in campo per partecipare alla lotteria dei calci di rigore. Le due squadre sono impeccabili dal dischetto, con entrambe che segnano i primi sei tiri a testa. Fujimoto ha trasformato il settimo rigore per il Vissel Kobe, mentre il Suwon sbaglia con Ho-Ik.

L’appuntamento per le semifinale East Zone della Champions League si disputerà domenica e dal match fra Ulsan Hyundai e Persepolis conosceremo l’avversario che si contenderà con gli iraniani del Persepolis il titolo continentale.

ACL2020: the East Zone semifinal will be between Ulsan Hyundai and Vissel Kobe

Yesterday saw the two quarter-final matches of the AFC Champions League, East Zone, with Ulsan Hyundai and Vissel Kobe progressing to the next round thanks to goals from Junior Negao and Furuhashi.

Ulsan Hyundai progressed to the final thanks to a prestigious 2-0 win over Beijing Guoan in the first half. The cover man was Junior Negao, with the Brazilian scoring twice: first he converted a penalty awarded following a hand foul by Kim Min-jae and then he doubled the score with a shot from distance. Junior Negao continued to establish himself as one of Asia’s top strikers, having already won the K-League top scorer title this year.

Beijing Guoan threw themselves forward in desperate search of an equaliser but the efforts of the Beijingers led by Renato Augusto, who tried to carry the team on his shoulders, were thwarted by the Ulsan defence and the miraculous saves of Suk-jo. The Korean goalkeeper was the MVP of the second half, making eight saves, including five from attempts inside the penalty area.

With this victory and the elimination of Beijing Guoan, Ulsan Hyundai is now the favourite team to win this Champions League and can aspire to a second continental title after the one won in 2012.

Ulsan Hyundai’s opponents in the semi-finals will be Vissel Kobe, with the Japanese club reaching this historic goal in its first ever participation in the Champions League after beating Suwon Bluewings in Korea despite having to give up its top player, Andrès Iniesta (sidelined with an injury).

The game had started well for Suwon Bluewings, with the Koreans opening the scoring with 1998-class Hyuk Park after just seven minutes. However, the situation changed towards the end of the first half, with Tae-Hwan’s last-man foul generating a free-kick from which Furuhashi found the equaliser. In addition to Iniesta, the 1995-born outside forward was the decisive man who took Vissel Kobe to the top of Asian football.

The game went into extra time, with the former Barcelona player coming on to take part in the penalty shoot-out. The two teams were flawless from the penalty spot, with both scoring the first six shots apiece. Fujimoto converted the seventh penalty for Vissel Kobe, while Suwon missed with Ho-Ik.

The date for the East Zone semi-finals of the Champions League will be played on Sunday and from the match between Ulsan Hyundai and Persepolis we will know the opponent who will compete with the Iranians of Persepolis for the continental title.
