A delegation from Argentina’s national team has carried out an inspection in Kansas City to assess training, accommodation and match facilities ahead of the next World Cup. Lionel Scaloni’s side will face Algeria on 16 June.

According to SuperDepor.com, the visit included the complex that will act as the squad’s operational base.

First, AFA officials reviewed Sporting Kansas City’s training centre, selected by FIFA for most of the team’s sessions during the tournament. They examined the condition of the pitches, dressing rooms and supporting areas to ensure optimal working standards.

They then evaluated the planned accommodation for players and coaching staff for the duration of the competition. Checks covered security, catering, transport and recovery facilities to safeguard comfort and performance.

Finally, the group toured GEHA Field at Arrowhead, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, the venue for Argentina’s opening match. They verified stadium capacity, provisions for technical staff and compliance with FIFA requirements.

The party comprised administrators Daniel Cabrera and Alberto Pernas, team doctors Daniel Martínez and Alejandro Rolón, security lead Matías Ferreyra, communications manager Nicolás Novello, kitman Mario De Stefano and AFA design staff Daniel Cannizzo and Agustín Spotorno.
