Africa Cup of Nations 2025: Fixtures, TV, table standings as Nigeria, Morocco and Ivory Coast battle for glory

The 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is shaping up to be the most unpredictable one yet.
Ivory Coast, the current holders, are back to defend the crown they won on home soil by beating Nigeria in February 2024. Though Les Elephants will have their work cut out to claim backto-back titles having been drawn into a difficult looking group.
The Super Eagles, meanwhile, will be hoping to go one further than last time and claim a first AFCON in 13 years in what would go some way to making up for failing to seal World Cup qualification.
Host nation Morocco are among the favourites to win only their second ever AFCON title, but Senegal, Egypt and Algeria all have strong cases too.
As was the case a couple of years ago, 24 teams have been split into six groups of four, with the winners and runners-up progressing to the knockout phase, along with the best four third-placed nations.
TV channel: Every match of the tournament will be broadcast across Channel 4’s network.
Live stream: UK viewers will be able to stream games on the Channel 4 Sport YouTube.
