After Summerville, Al-Hilal ‘to rival’ Al-Qadsiah for Ahmed Al-Sayahi | OneFootball

Asharq Al-Awsat reports that Al-Hilal have moved to rival Al-Qadsiah for Al-Riyadh midfielder Ahmed Al-Sayahi, following the capture of Crysencio Summerville. The Riyadh club are said to be targeting one of the Roshn League’s standout young talents.

Al-Hilal confirmed on Friday that Summerville had joined from West Ham United on a four-year deal running to 2030.

Al-Qadsiah were close to landing Al-Sayahi before Al-Hilal stepped in late to challenge, the report said.

Al-Riyadh initially rejected Al-Qadsiah’s first bid over its low financial value, prompting an improved offer that now also covers team-mate Sultan Haroun, the report added.

Al-Sayahi, 21, made 19 league appearances for Al-Riyadh last season without a goal or an assist.

Summerville fronts a busy window for Al-Hilal, who have made six signings so far. The others are Mohammed Al-Owais, Sabri Dahl, Abdullah Al-Anazi, Mohammed Al-Sarnoukh and Nawaf Al-Habashi.
