RBS back in league business at Altach

Dusan Pavlovic's side kick off November by concluding Matchday 11 of the ADMIRAL Women's Bundesliga. Having returned from the international break, our FC Red Bull Salzburg Women will travel to SCR Altach on Sunday at 14:00 CET.

Denied win late

Slow and steady seems to be the name of the game the team coached by Markus Spiegel. Altach are the draw queens of the league with four draws, and so far this season they have only suffered defeats against Austria Vienna, the flawless league leaders. The team besides the capital city club to have come closest to a victory against Altach is our women – Altach denied us a win deep into stoppage time in our home opener at the Red Bull Football Academy, snatching a point to take back to Vorarlberg with a last-minute 1-1 draw in the first meeting of the season.

Captain Lucia Orkic and her team-mates aim to make amends for that blemish with the confidence gained from their three consecutive victories and, ideally, maintain their position in the top end of the table. Referee Fabienne Hofer will officiate the match at Altach's Schnabelholz stadium, which you can watch live and for free on ÖFB TV in Austria.

We know that a very intense and evenly matched game awaits us in Altach. Both teams are level in the standings, which shows how tight and competitive this league is. In our first encounter, we saw that Altach defend very compactly and are dangerous on the break. We have to remain focused for the full 90 minutes and play our game with courage, pace and conviction. For us, this is a great opportunity to further solidify our progress. For that, we need the same energy and determination as we had in our recent matches.
