Agent Federico Pastorello dished on the January window and the future of a few of his clients speaking to Radio Sportiva.
“The transfer of Vitor Reis to Manchester City was the most important deal for us. He’s our first champion from project my collaborators and I started in 2019. He had offers from all over Europe. Inter were keen too, but then the Premier League juggernauts joined the race, and his valuation skyrocketed.”
Pastorello addressed Stefan De Vrij and Francesco Acerbi.
“There’s no real negotiation with the Nerazzurri, as they can extend their contract by a certain date. We just need to wait for their decision, and then we’ll choose what to do. We’ll stay if it happens; otherwise, we’ll have to look for a new destination. We’re serene. The latter has had some injuries, but he’s finally recovered. The former is doing very well, but it’s not a surprise. Inter are a top European club and the dream of many players, if not all. They’d be very happy to continue there, but they are professionals.”
Instead, Pastorello continues haggling with Napoli concerning Alex Meret.
“His intention is to stay, as he said publicly. Then, bargaining is part of the game, and all interests need to be respected. Sincerely, we’re very close. I’d be surprised if there weren’t a positive outcome.”
Finally, Pastorello discussed Arthur, who was loaned to Girona.
“A fiscal matter impeded his move to Santos. He would have gladly joined, as Neymar wanted to reunite with him. He went to a team tied to Manchester City and will be coached by a manager who is very suitable to his traits”
