Aston Villa are advancing in talks to sign Tammy Abraham as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Midlands club has accelerated its pursuit of the former Chelsea striker, aiming to bring him back to Villa Park to bolster their attacking options for the second half of the season.
Following the departure of Donyell Malen to AS Roma earlier this window, Unai Emery has prioritised a proven goalscorer, and Abraham has emerged as the clear frontrunner.

According to the latest update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X, the deal is progressing rapidly.
Romano confirmed that an agreement has essentially been “sealed” on the player’s side, with Abraham having “opened doors” to an Aston Villa return.
The 28-year-old striker is currently plying his trade in Turkey with Besiktas, where he has been in fine form this season.
However, the complexity of the transfer lies in his contract situation; while currently on loan at Besiktas from AS Roma, the Turkish giants reportedly hold a purchase obligation that has complicated negotiations.
Despite these hurdles, Romano reports that club-to-club talks are “moving fast” and are “well underway.”
While the deal is not yet done, the willingness of all parties to find a solution, combined with the player’s explicit desire to return to the Premier League, suggests a deal could be imminent.

Aston Villa fans need no introduction to Tammy Abraham. During his previous loan spell in the 2018/19 season, he was instrumental in the club’s promotion back to the top flight, scoring 26 goals in 40 appearances.
His bond with the Villa faithful remains strong, and his return would likely be met with widespread enthusiasm.
Beyond his time in the Championship, Abraham boasts a solid pedigree with English clubs. He has directly contributed to 113 goals across his spells at English clubs, highlighting his consistency across multiple levels.
During his time at Chelsea, he registered 15 league goals in the 2019/20 season and has consistently proven himself as a physical, dynamic forward capable of leading the line at the highest level.
