AI maps Sunderland’s late window with £22m move for 18-goal striker | OneFootball

Sunderland enter the final days of the January window with scope for late business, and an AI model has sketched out plausible moves.

Sunderland Echo notes that, after consulting X’s AI chatbot Grok, the model sets out potential arrivals and departures for Régis Le Bris’ side.

One proposed arrival is Ayase Ueda from Feyenoord for about £22m. The case cites 24 goals in 23 matches and reliance on Brian Brobbey’s 5. Ueda’s 18 this season and Japan experience are seen as the answer.

Eliezer Mayenda is flagged for a £5m sale to Paris FC. Limited minutes and output make a clean break plausible, while funds could be recycled and pathways opened for others.

Harvey Elliott is mooted for a no fee loan from Liverpool. The 22-year-old England international is currently on loan at Aston Villa, where a 10-appearance obligation to buy, around £35m, has been avoided, restricting minutes. A switch could add creativity without long-term risk.

Bertrand Traore is listed as a £3m departure. The rationale is limited impact and age, trimming wages and streamlining a wide unit built around younger, high-pressing profiles.
