Manchester City will face off against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this Saturday night as they look to secure a victory on the road in the FA Cup. The Mancunian giants were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways in domestic football.
Pep Guardiola will set his side up in a 4-1-3-2 formation once again and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Nathan Ake, Nico Gonzalez and Omar Marmoush could all play from the start of this cup clash.
Gianluigi Donnarumma will function in between the sticks for Man City after conceding a couple of goals in his last outing. Ruben Dias will continue to feature alongside Marc Guehi at the heart of the Man City backline as they look to keep the opposition at bay during the 90 minutes.
Matheus Nunes will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Nathan Ake fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Rayan Ait-Nouri and John Stones will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Nico Gonzalez will anchor the midfield for Man City as he looks to protect his backline and feed some decent passes to his teammates going forward.
The talented trio of Phil Foden, Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki will function just ahead of them as part of Guardiola’s midfield. All three of them need to retain possession well at the centre of the park if they want to create enough chances for Man City to win this contest.
Rodri and Bernardo Silva will be rested on the bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Antoine Semenyo and Omar Marmoush will lead the charge for Man City up top. Both of them need to combine well if they want to cause some headaches for the Newcastle centre-backs this Saturday night.
Erling Haaland will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
