Al Hilal have expressed an interest in signing Real Madrid forward Rodrygo this year, a report has claimed.

Madrid are already braced for significant interest in another Brazilian sensation, Vinicius Junior, with Saudi officials reportedly lining up an offer which would be worth a record-breaking €300m.

With all that going on in the background, Globo Esporte state Rodrygo has played his way on to Al Hilal's radar as a potential blockbuster replacement for Neymar, who saw his contract terminated by mutual consent ahead of a return to Brazilian side Santos.

While Mohamed Salah is Al Hilal's dream target, officials are looking at a list of several huge names in the hope of convincing one to make the move to the Middle East, and Rodrygo finds himself on that shortlist.

Al Hilal want to offer Rodrygo the chance to be the undisputed superstar of the team - a prominence he is not afforded in Madrid alongside Vinicius and Kylian Mbappe - and they have reached out to the Brazil international to determine his interest.

A move for Rodrygo would not impact the desire to sign Vinicius as the Saudi Public Investment Fund want the latter to play for Al Ahli, who are currently headlined by Riyad Mahrez, Ivan Toney and Roberto Firmino.

Rodrygo was asked about Vinicius' potential switch to Saudi Arabia after Wednesday's Champions League finale.

"It's a very personal thing, I don't know what's going on," Rodrygo said. "The only advice I can give him is to keep scoring lots of goals and playing a lot like he's been doing in this shirt."
