Alan Varela was sent off for FC Porto against Sporting after a VAR review upgraded an initial booking for a foul on Luis Suárez.
According to O Jogo, the referee was called to the monitor, reviewed the footage and changed his decision to a straight red for the midfielder.

Varela had come on in the 58th minute, replacing Thiago Silva.
His foul on Luis Suárez in the 87th minute initially drew a yellow card.
Two minutes later, following the review, he was dismissed in the 89th minute.
