La Liga giants Real Madrid could be without both their first and second choice goalkeepers for the club’s next outing.

That’s according to Relevo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid are currently in the thick of preparations for a showdown with Valencia on Saturday evening.

Fresh off booking their spot in the Copa del Rey finale at the expense of Real Sociedad on Tuesday, Los Blancos have shifted attentions back towards matters in La Liga.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from Valdebebas is anything to go by, then these preparations are not going exactly according to plan.

As per Relevo, with Thibaut Courtois already sidelined with a muscular problem, Andriy Lunin has now picked up a fitness issue, too:

‘The Ukrainian came off the Copa del Rey match against Real Sociedad with discomfort, and with two days to go until the match, his presence against Valencia is unclear.’

In the case of Lunin being ruled out, youngster Fran González will be cast into the spotlight by way of a first senior start for Real Madrid.
