Manchester United parted ways with Alejandro Garnacho this summer for £40 million.

Man United Manager Ruben Amorim was not a fan of the young winger and wasn’t ready to nurture him, forcing him out of Old Trafford.

Despite bagging 11 goals and 10 assists for Man Utd during a tumultuous season, the Portuguese tactician opted to push Garnacho out.

However, the former Man United attacker holds no grudges against his old club.

Unlike recent comments from Antony, he was more measured when talking about the Manchester giants.

Garnacho said (via TNT), “I’ve got nothing bad to say about my old club, Manchester United.

“There are just bad moments in life… I’m very happy to be here now, play in this competition and get three points today.”

Garnacho is still finding his footing at Chelsea, but he provided a significant contribution as the Blues beat Benfica at Stamford Bridge.

His cross came off Richard Rios and went into the back of the net. He was constantly trying things, and even though not all of them were successful, his performance was still noteworthy.

Garnacho earned praise from Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca for his showing and will be hoping it is the start of a good spell.

Yet the bigger issue lies back at Old Trafford, where Garnacho’s departure is just another symptom of Amorim’s struggles to connect with his squad.

He has already seen relationships sour with Marcus Rashford as well, another talent who has fallen by the wayside under his reign.

Amorim has poured resources into reshaping the attack, spending heavily on Matheus Cunha to fill the void, but results have been far from convincing.

The inability to harness the gifts of players like Garnacho and Rashford, while overseeing a team still floundering despite big investments, raises uncomfortable questions about his man-management.

United remain stagnant, and his failure to integrate stars is becoming a damning indictment of his tenure. The fact that he remains in the job is incredulous.
