Alex Sandro was withdrawn at half-time of Corinthians v Flamengo on Sunday night after feeling pain in his right thigh, with the change made on medical advice to avoid any aggravation.

Flamengo's doctor Fernando Sassaki said the left-back felt the issue after a challenge with Yuri Alberto and that it worsened during the half, with checks at the break indicating only mild pain. He will have an MRI scan in São Paulo to assess whether there is an injury and its extent.

Alex Sandro has been called up by Carlo Ancelotti for two Brazil friendlies.

He felt the discomfort in the first half, so the decision at the interval was that he would not continue. Ayrton Lucas came on in his place.

The match ended 1-1 at Neo Química Arena.
