Pre-season starts under Danny Röhl

It all started with a bang today! At 12:00 CEST, our Red Bulls took to the pitch in Taxham for the start of pre-season training, and shortly afterwards, our new head coach, Danny Röhl, finally arrived to lead his first session with us.

The German coach had our lads practice several ball mastery and rondo drills, focusing on counter-pressing, first on a small scale, and later on a larger pitch.

New arrivals and absentees

New signings Filip Matijasevic (FK Cukaricki), Dominik Schmid (FC Basel) and Nikolas Veratschnig (Mainz 05) were on the pitch for the first time. Also present were Clement Bischoff, returning loanee Hendry Blank (from Hannover 96), and Liefering youngsters Aboubacar Camara and Johannes Moser.

Due to international duty at the end of last season, Gaoussou Diakite (returning from Lausanne-Sport), Adam Daghim (VfL Wolfsburg), John Mellberg, Damir Redzic and Christian Zawieschitzky will join training next week. Valentin Zabransky (FC Liefering), currently busy with his final high school exams, will also be on board. Soumaila Diabate experienced problems returning from his home country of Mali and will rejoin the team as soon as possible. Alexander Schlager is currently with the Austrian national team at the FIFA World Cup in the USA. Mads Bidstrup, as well as Bobby Clark and Lucas Gourna-Douath, who were recently out on loan, were excused from training for contract negotiations with other clubs.
