Inter Milan have made PSV winger Ivan Perisic their top priority as the club weigh up targeted reinforcements in the January transfer window.
The Nerazzurri see the Croatian winger as the right profile to raise the squad’s level without altering its structure.
Inter value Perisic for two clear reasons, as per FCInterNews.
First, he brings proven international experience and leadership. Second, he offers natural balance on the left flank.
Within the club, there is also belief that his personality could provide something Luis Henrique cannot yet guarantee at this stage.
Perisic, for his part, has never hidden his desire to return to Milan. Reports suggest he would accept a third spell at Inter without hesitation.

The main obstacle remains PSV. The Dutch club have so far stood firm, although their stance could soften if they exit the Champions League. With Perisic still under contract for another 18 months, Inter would need to negotiate a permanent deal rather than a short-term solution.
Inter’s market activity does not stop there. The club continue to assess options in goal as part of longer-term planning.
During a recent meeting with agent Gustavo Goñi, sporting director Piero Ausilio discussed the situation of Emiliano Martinez but also made it clear that Inter are evaluating alternative profiles.
One of those is Guglielmo Vicario, currently at Tottenham and considered a direct rival option in that role.
Inter are also tracking Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu as they widen their search.
Meanwhile, attention remains on youth recruitment.
After welcoming Leon Jakirovic, Inter are expected to meet with agent Fali Ramadani in the coming days to try to resolve the situation surrounding Branimir Mlacic.
The strategy is consistent. Inter want experience where needed, protection for the future, and no forced moves. At the centre of it all, however, stands Perisic, the name currently shaping Inter’s transfer priorities.
