Allan arrives in São Paulo for medicals before Corinthians loan, calls it his dream | OneFootball

Allan arrived in São Paulo on Tuesday morning to undergo medical tests and sign a loan with Corinthians until the end of this season, according to Globo.com.

Speaking at Guarulhos airport, he described playing for the club as a dream and said fuller comments would come at his CT Joaquim Grava presentation.

Requested specifically by coach Dorival Júnior, he said the manager’s influence was decisive in the move. Flamengo agreed to loan him without a fee, provided Corinthians cover his full wages, with an option to buy at undisclosed figures.

He said joining a champion side increases the responsibility, that he arrives to add and feels prepared, noting he has come from a big club too.

Allan admitted the wait left him anxious, said he barely slept and is eager to train and play. He wants to build his story at Corinthians, improve and aim for trophies.

A product of Internacional, the 28-year-old has played in Finland, Belgium, Germany and Cyprus. In Brazil he has represented Fluminense, Atlético-MG and Flamengo, winning last year’s Brasileirão and the Conmebol Libertadores with Flamengo.

Out of favour under Filipe Luís, he was made available and held talks with São Paulo before agreeing with Corinthians. This season he has featured only once, substituted at half-time of the clássico against Flamengo on 25 January.
