Bosnia and Herzegovina’s medical team found no cause for alarm over Amar Dedic after a training knock, and the Benfica right back was due to rejoin training on Wednesday. There is confidence he will face Wales tomorrow in the World Cup play-off semi-final.

Record writes that there has been no recurrence of his left adductor problem, and that Benfica’s staff had declared him fit and released him to the national team without limitations.

On international duty, Dedic missed the second Bosnia and Herzegovina session after taking a knock in the first. The issue is not linked to previous physical problems.

He had already recovered in recent weeks at club level. His omission from the starting XI against Arouca was a manager’s decision, he came on after the break, then he missed the Vitória de Guimarães match through suspension.

If Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Wales, his return to Seixal will be pushed back. A play-off final awaits on 31 March against the winner of Italy and Northern Ireland.

This season Dedic, valued at 15 million euros, has made 37 appearances for Benfica, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, one in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. He has played 3,097 minutes, scoring one goal with three assists.
