Manchester United will lock horns with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this Sunday afternoon as they look to secure a positive result on their travels in the Premier League. The Red Devils managed to earn a solid 3-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao in midweek which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this contest.

Ruben Amorim will once again set his men up in a 3-4-2-1 formation and is expected to make a few tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Harry Amass, Luke Shaw and Christian Eriksen could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.

Defence

Andre Onana will play in goal for Man United after keeping a clean sheet in his last appearance. The Red Devils could opt for a back three of Luke Shaw, Victor Lindelof and Matthijs de Ligt as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.

Harry Maguire will provide cover for the defensive spots on the bench. However, Diogo Dalot will be sidelined for this game because of a calf injury.

Midfield

Christian Eriksen and Sekou Kone will anchor the midfield for the Mancunian club as they try to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

Harry Amass will fill in as the left-sided wide player while Jaydan Kamason hopes to impress on the right flank.

Mason Mount and Kobbie Mainoo will assume the duties of the free-flowing, attacking midfielders. Their main focus would be to create some decent opportunities in and around the Brentford penalty box.

Casemiro, Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte will make up the numbers on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Chido Obe-Martin will spearhead Amorim’s attack in the final third. He has to find a way to be a constant menace up top.

Rasmus Hojlund will be named on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if the Red Devils are in need of a goal by then. However, Joshua Zirkzee will miss this clash due to a hamstring injury.
