América Femenil soar to top of Group A with victory over Chorrillo

PANAMA CITY – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup continued as Club América Femenil earned a 9-nil victory against Chorrillo FC in Group A on Wednesday at Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City, Panama.
América Femenil captain Kiana Palacios opened the scoring in the 14’.
Bruna Vilamala extended the lead in the 28’, after Irene Guerrero provided a back heel assist, before completing her brace in the 37’, with a long shot from the edge of the box.
Las Águilas didn’t slow down in attack as young Mexican sensation Montserrat Saldivar scored the fourth of the night in the 38’.
Guerrero wrote her name on the scoresheet in the 43’ to send the Mexican side up by five at halftime and earned her brace in the 55’ with a long volley from the left side of the pitch. She secured her hat-trick with a free kick in the 68’ to get the seventh of the night for América.
Scarlett Camberos added the eighth goal of the evening in the 77’ before Palacios closed the scoring in the 88’.
Itzel Velasco obtained her second consecutive clean sheet in the 2025 edition.
Chorrillo FC will continue its Group Stage campaign on September 16 by hosting NWSL champions Orlando Pride.
Club América will defend the top spot in the group against fellow Liga MX Femenil side CF Pachuca on September 18 in Mexico City.
