It is virtually confirmed that Club América will return to the refurbished Estadio Azteca in April, playing a run of home fixtures.
According to Americayya.net, the plan is for América to spend the whole of April at the venue, now named Estadio Banorte, before moving back to Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes for the Liga MX and Concachampions final stages if needed.
The three consecutive Azteca dates are set for Saturday 11 April against Cruz Azul at nine pm, Tuesday 14 April against Nashville in the Concachampions quarter-final second leg, and Saturday 18 April against Toluca at nine pm in Clausura 2026 matchday 15.
That will not be the last outing at the rebranded ground, with Atlas due to visit on Saturday 25 April to close the regular season.
In May the stadium is to be handed to FIFA, who will take control to ready it for the World Cup starting in June.
A full-time return to the historic venue is due in Apertura 2026, when it has been revealed América will share the stadium with two other Liga MX clubs.
