Fisnik Asllani is increasingly attracting the attention of major Bundesliga clubs and now Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund has spoken publicly about the attacker
The TSG Hoffenheim attacker is being touted as a potential summer signing by both FC Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, with Sky reporting that both clubs are in early talks over the 23-year-old, who would be ready to move in June due to an exit clause in his contract
Christoph Freund praised Asllani’s development to Sky: „A good player, scores a lot of goals, a clever lad who has developed very well. He has already been on loan several times and is making very, very good progress.“
However, the sporting director also emphasized that Munich are happy with the current squad: „I think he’s a good, interesting young player that a lot of people are talking about now. There are a few guys who are developing well. But as I said, we’re currently very happy with what we have and how we’re set up.“

Bild had previously reported that BVB had already become more concrete in their pursuit of the Kosovo international. The attacker, who is currently impressing at Hoffenheim after returning from loan spells at Elversberg and other clubs, has scored six goals and provided three assists in 14 competitive games this season and has caught the eye of several clubs
For Dortmund, Asllani could be a possible replacement for Serhou Guirassy if the latter leaves the club. At FC Bayern, however, his name is not currently at the top of the list. Nevertheless, the personnel matter is being closely monitored – also because of the financially feasible clause, which makes him an interesting market value player. However, as Harry Kane is unlikely to leave FC Bayern in the near future, Asslani would only be available in a backup role for the time being
Regardless of the outcome, it seems clear that Asllani’s time at Hoffenheim is running out and it remains to be seen which direction he will take in the summer.
