Carlo Ancelotti will name Brazil’s World Cup squad in Rio today at the Museu do Amanhã, with Flamengo interest high after seven of their players made his provisional list.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the pre-list features defenders Danilo, Alex Sandro, Léo Pereira and Léo Ortiz, midfielder Lucas Paquetá, and forwards Pedro and Samuel Lino. The tournament begins on 11 June across Canada, the United States and Mexico.
While all seven are in contention, four are viewed as ahead. Ancelotti has already confirmed the inclusion of defender Danilo. Alex Sandro, Lucas Paquetá and Léo Pereira are also seen as having strong chances of making the final 26.
The CBF has scheduled the announcement for 17:00 Brasília time and will stream it live on its official YouTube channel, allowing supporters to learn the names immediately.
After today’s reveal, the coaching staff will begin preparations on 25 May, with the delegation due to travel to the United States on 1 June.
Brazil are top seeds in Group C and will face Morocco, Scotland and Haiti in the group stage. The Seleção open on 13 June against Morocco.
