Anderlecht’s Yari Verschaeren not keen on move to Trabzonspor | OneFootball

According to Het Nieuwsblad, Trabzonspor have reached out to Anderlecht about a possible transfer for attacking midfielder Yari Verschaeren. The young Belgian was highly rated coming out of the sides academy but a succession of injuries have really hampered his development. He has begun to rediscover some of that spark in recent weeks, but stories had been emerging that the club would be willing to sell him. However, according to reports, a move to join the Turkish side is not something that Verschaeren is keen on doing this window. That does not mean that, if Anderlecht receive an offer they deem satisfactory, they would not be willing to sell.

The 23-year-old has played 30 games this season, already nine more than he managed last campaign. In that time he has scored four goals and grabbed three assists. Since making his senior debut for the side, Verschaeren has played an impressive 205 times for the Mauves, scoring 28 goals. He was also capped by the senior Belgian national side, but his injuries have meant he has not been at the level required for the Red Devils for some time now.
