Bournemouth could wreck Man City’s title dreams and secure European qualification
The Cherries are on the cusp of playing in Europe for the first-time ever next season and, as things currently stand, all three competitions are a possibility.
A point at home to Man City on Tuesday night will guarantee a top-eight finish, and with that a place in the Conference League at minimum.
However, victory over Pep Guardiola’s side for a second season in a row will move Bournemouth to within a point of fifth-placed Liverpool, taking the battle for Champions League football into the final game of the season.
Furthermore, a win will confirm a top-six finish which could be enough for a backdoor entry to Europe’s top table, but with results over the weekend going in their favour, Iraola is keen to avoid waiting until the final day of the season for the Cherries’ fate to be decided.
"We were actually in training, spending some time with the families,” Iraola said in the pre-Man City press conference.
“The situation hasn't changed, we needed one point before the games [on Sunday], we need one point after the games.
"We are close, but we still don't have it. We need one more point but it won't be easy. City are in good form after a trophy, they are also fighting for the league but we are ready.
“We are in a good place, we don't have injuries. We are looking forward to the game tomorrow."

Bournemouth are unbeaten in 16 Premier League games - the longest sequence for any team across the entire division - and there could be consequences at the top of the table if that record improves to 17.
Man City will know the outcome of Arsenal’s result against Burnley before kicking off at the Vitality Stadium and may need to win the game in order to stop the Gunners from being crowned Premier League champions.
The only scenario where City can afford to drop points on the south coast and take the title race into the final day is if the Gunners fail to beat Burnley.
