André Almeida on the market as Valencia seek exit | OneFootball

Valencia are seeking to move André Almeida on this summer after minimal minutes towards the end of the season, according to AS. The Portuguese midfielder played only 14 minutes across the final eight league matches.

Even so, he made 22 league appearances and logged just over 1,000 minutes, supplying two assists. He featured regularly from October to January, then his role dwindled.

Almeida extended his contract in September until June 2029. He has switched representatives three times and has yet to establish himself at the club.

He joined in the summer of 2022 as one of Portuguese football’s brightest prospects for around eight million euros. His first season was his strongest, with 34 league outings, two goals and four assists, before his influence waned and he became a fringe option in the run-in.

Porto showed interest in January 2025, but Valencia refused to discuss an exit as he was important to Carlos Corberán while the team fought to stay in Primera División.

Last summer he also had offers to leave that the club dismissed as insufficient, while Almeida sought a pay rise and felt uneasy in the dressing room.
