Corinthians will be without centre-back André Ramalho for next Sunday’s derby with Palmeiras in the Campeonato Brasileiro, the defender suspended after collecting his third yellow card.

He was booked in stoppage time of the 1-0 defeat to Internacional at Neo Química Arena, punished for a foul on Alerrandro as the forward threatened a counter-attack.

According to Meu Timao, Corinthians faced Internacional with eight absentees. Allan and left-back Matheus Bidu were unavailable through suspension, while Memphis Depay, Kaio César, Gui Negão, João Pedro Tchoca, Hugo Farias and Gabriel Paulista missed out due to fitness issues.

The Timão approach the weekend under pressure, sitting two points above the relegation zone and undergoing a change of head coach following the dismissal of Dorival Júnior.

Before meeting Palmeiras in the 11th round on Sunday, Corinthians have a midweek Libertadores assignment. They visit Platense of Argentina on Thursday 9 at 21:00 at Estadio Coliseo de Victoria.
