The Chelsea and Brazil midfielder came through Vasco’s academy, stepping up to the first team in 2021. He scored eight goals in 36 games in 2022, taking a leading role as the club won promotion back to Série A.

“I am very happy here in Europe, with my children here and my wife here. TEAMtalk reports that he tops Manchester United’s targets for 2026/27, and that Chelsea have set a £20 million price.

If such a move materialised, the Fifa solidarity mechanism would send 2.5 percent of the fee to Vasco, about R$ 7 million at today’s conversion of roughly R$ 280 million. The rise of the club’s academy talents in England also includes Rayan, recently named in Brazil’s preliminary list after impressing in Europe.
