Ángel Di María has hit back on Instagram at an allegation concerning his wife, branding the poster an idiot and warning he could seek legal action. According to Glorioso 1904, he rejected the claim in a story post.

An online user alleged that Jorgelina Cardoso was heard shouting at the couple’s luxury complex in Funes Hill after discovering several models had entered without her knowledge. The same account claimed neighbours could not calm her, citing shouting, recriminations and tears.

Di María used Instagram Stories to discredit the account, accusing the poster of inventing things to smear his family and questioning who had put them up to it. He added that if the defamation continued he would take the matter to court.

The Argentine previously played for Benfica and wore the number 11 shirt.

He has begun planning for life after playing, recently completing a coaching course that indicates his intention to remain in football.
