Another Barcelona star accused of insulting referee after victory over Girona | OneFootball

Barcelona star Raphinha has on Saturday evening been accused of aiming an explicit insult at referee Jesús Gil Manzano.

As much came in the aftermath of Barca’s meeting with Girona earlier today.

The Blaugrana of course marked their return to action this evening, playing host to Catalan rivals Girona in a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops secured a much-needed return to winning ways, courtesy of a 2-1 result.

As much, however, came amid tense scenes.

Barcelona required a last-gasp winner on the part of Ronald Araújo, after the Uruguayan was introduced to proceedings in a centre-forward role late on.

With his side locked at a goal apiece, though, Hansi Flick lost his cool, shown a red card as a result.

The German then exploded with his celebrations in response to Araújo’s winner, too.

And if the latest footage doing the rounds online is anything to go by, then Flick does not appear to be the only one on the Barca side of things to have made his frustrations with Jesús Gil Manzano known.

Below, Raphinha has been widely lipread as having shouted ‘hijo de puta’ (son of a bitch/motherf**ker) at the official in charge of the action at Montjuïc:
