Anthony Elanga says he can’t wait to line up with Alexander Isak in black and white | OneFootball

Anthony Elanga can’t wait to wear the black and white shirt.

Even more so, he can’t wait to line up for Newcastle United alongside Alexander Isak.

International teammates for Sweden, Anthony Elanga says that Alexander Isak was a big reason for coming to Tyneside, amongst a number of other factors.

The former Forest winger says he has settled straight in with the Newcastle United set-up, stating; “I have been here for a week and it feels like it has been forever.”

Though only a friendly, Saturday against Celtic could be the chance when Newcastle United fans get to see Anthony Elanga for the first time in black and white, potentially also alongside Alexander Isak as well.

“Alexander Isak is one of the best players in the world.

“There is always going to be noise around him.

“He is somebody I know from my national team.

“So I know how good he is.

“There were a lot of factors that played into it (signing for Newcastle United)…. the city, the fanbase, Alex, Anthony Gordon, Bruno, Joelinton, Joe Willock….

“Also, winning a (Domestic) trophy after 70 years.

“Getting that winning factor back into the city.

“They came so close (previously) but now they have a trophy.

“I think that played a huge part.

“You can see in training, the intensity, the competitiveness, it is second to none.

“I am really excited to put on this black and white shirt. It has a lot of history, it is something that I really want to buy into.

“Playing my first game will be amazing and I want to form partnerships with everyone, even outside the pitch, with different people.

“Whilst on the pitch, the communication, the rapport, the team spirit, it is all vital.

“We are a team, we win together and lose together, that is the most important thing.

“I have been here for a week and it feels like it has been forever.

“A player like Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the world and we all want to be playing with him next season.
