Real Sociedad president Aperribay has admitted he consulted artificial intelligence before hiring Pellegrino Matarazzo. According to Diario Vasco, he said he ultimately placed greater trust in Erik.
He explained that the AI advised Matarazzo was not a good coach for Real Sociedad, yet he relied more on Erik's judgement.

Erik had spoken to Aperribay about signing him, prompting the president to seek an AI view before proceeding.
His comments confirm AI was consulted during the hiring process at the txuri-urdin club.
