Arab derby set: CAF confirms dates for Al Ahly–Esperance quarterfinal clash

Final dates have been confirmed for Al Ahly’s Champions League quarterfinal showdown against Esperance in the 2025 /26 season.

CAF officially announced the match schedule for African Champions League quarterfinals setting up high-profile Arab clash between Al Ahly & Esperance.

The draw placed the Egyptian champions against the Tunisian giants in one of the most anticipated ties of the round. In another quarterfinal, Pyramids FC will face AS FAR setting up two difficult tests for Egyptian sides in the continental competition.

First Leg in Tunisia, return in Cairo

The first leg between Al Ahly and Esperance will be played in Tunisia on 15 March at Rades Stadium with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 GMT.

The decisive second leg will take place in Egypt on 21 March at Cairo International Stadium starting at 20:00 GMT. The winner over the two legs will secure place in the semifinals.
