Palmeiras goalkeeper Aranha will join Portuguese club Moreirense on a one-year loan and is set to travel to Europe next week.
Nosso Palestra reports that the move is designed to give the 21-year-old experience in European football, with the possibility of returning to the Palmeiras squad next season.
Aranha expressed gratitude to Palmeiras for his development, noting the club prepared him for a step into Europe. He hopes the opportunity allows him to keep improving and, above all, to play regularly to reach his career goals.
The exit aligns with Palmeiras’ plan to reintegrate Kaique. The 23-year-old also played in Portugal and led the top flight in penalty saves. He is currently training with the squad during pre-season.
Palmeiras also have Carlos Miguel as first choice and Marcelo Lomba as immediate back-up.
Aranha arrived from Sport Recife in 2023 on loan, then signed permanently after impressing. He has close to 100 appearances for Verdão’s youth sides, though he is yet to feature for the first team.
