Marko Arnautovic has confirmed that he will be leaving Inter upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June, but backs his teammates to bounce back from an ultimately disappointing 2024-25 campaign to win the Serie A title in 2025-26: ‘I believe that they will be champions next season’.
Arnautovic is one of a handful of Inter players who will be out of contract on June 30, 2025, along with Joaquin Correa and Raffaele Di Gennaro. Stefan De Vrij is also out of contract, but has an option to extend for a further 12 months written into his current deal.
The veteran centre-forward has confirmed that he will be leaving Inter after a short, two-year return to San Siro, having also turned out for the Nerazzurri while on loan as a youngster in 2009-10.

“My time at Inter is over. I won’t be there any more. I wish Chivu all the best and I believe that next season they will be champions,” Arnautovic said about his Nerazzurri departure on Sunday, reported via Sky Sport Italia.
While Inter had been in contention for a treble in April, the Nerazzurri finished the 2024-25 campaign trophyless, having lost out on the Serie A title to Napoli by one point, having lost to rivals Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-final and having lost 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Head coach Simone Inzaghi has since left and has taken over at Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, with former Nerazzurri defender Cristian Chivu poised to take over.
