Arrascaeta left out as Flamengo name squad for Carioca semi-final against Madureira

Arrascaeta has been left out as Flamengo name their squad for the Campeonato Carioca semi-final against Madureira at the Maracanã, kick-off 21:00 Brasília time. The club also chose on Monday to rest the number 10 after confirming on Sunday that Léo Pereira, Pulgar and Jorginho would be rested due to fatigue.

According to Globo.com, all four trained in the morning at Ninho do Urubu. Bruno Henrique is not included either, with the forward previously ruled out because of pubalgia.

Players such as Vitão, De la Cruz, Paquetá and Pedro could get another chance.

Having won the first leg 3-0, Flamengo can lose by two goals and still advance to the final.

The likely XI is Andrew in goal, Royal, Léo Ortiz, Vitão and Alex Sandro in defence, Evertton Araújo, De la Cruz and Carrascal or Luiz Araújo in midfield, with Paquetá, Cebolinha or Samuel Lino, and Pedro in attack.
