Arsenal and Tottenham make contact for Club Brugge’s Aleksandar Stankovic | OneFootball

The rapid development of Aleksandar Stankovic at Club Brugge has caught the attention of some of the Premier League’s biggest hitters. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have made initial enquiries for the 20-year-old midfielder, who has become a key figure in Belgium this season.

Inter, who sold the Serbian youth international to Brugge last summer for approximately €10 million, are watching the situation with a clear strategic advantage. The Nerazzurri hierarchy insisted on a buyback clause as a “valorization premium” for the Belgian club. The terms of this clause allow Inter to re-sign Stankovic for €23 million in the summer of 2026 or €25 million in 2027.

The interest from London—as well as from Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen—presents Inter with a lucrative financial opportunity. While the player has “Inter in his blood” and dreams of following in his father Dejan’s footsteps, the club could exercise their buyback option purely to flip him for a significant profit. By activating the €23 million clause, Inter could theoretically sell him immediately to a Premier League suitor for a much higher fee, generating a healthy capital gain.

Stankovic has already amassed 30 appearances and 5 goal contributions across all competitions this season, including a stunning match-winner against Genk. Whether he returns to occupy the role of Hakan Calhanoglu or serves as a financial asset to balance the books, his future is increasingly tied to the decisions made at Viale della Liberazione.
