In a recent post on X, journalist Nicolo Schira mentioned that Arsenal are in the running to land Olympiacos midfielder Christos Mouzakitis. It has been stated that the Gunners would have to compete with Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Napoli in the race to land the Greek talent next year.
Mouzakitis has come through the youth ranks of Olympiacos and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The 18-year-old has already made 49 senior appearances for the Greek outfit thus far, scoring two goals and grabbing six assists in the process across various competitions.
The Greek talent is among the best young midfielders in his homeland. Thus, the Gunners would do well to get him on board in 2026.
His current contract at Olympiacos will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.

Mouzakitis is full of energy and running in the middle of the park. He is a good tackler of the ball and can pass the ball accurately from midfield.
The Greek whizkid can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. Mouzakitis is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also function as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if asked to do so.
Mouzakitis would no doubt enhance the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s midfield in the long run. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming years.
At 18, Mouzakitis has got the potential to be a future star in European football. Thus, the Gunners would be wise to go all out to bring him on board this January or at the end of this campaign. However, it remains to be seen whether he can adapt to the physical style and high intensity of the Premier League
